The nation that aborts 3.5 million children a year is getting ready to rumble against the Muslims with its strategic partner, Red China, the home of forced abortion.

On April 27, 2001, WorldNet Daily reported that “Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, with support from China, are assembling a combined force to fend off a major militant Islamic offensive expected this summer.” According to WorldNet’s source, DEBKAfiles', “this will be the first time Chinese military personnel are allowed by Moscow to be stationed openly in the Central Asian republics of the former USSR–indeed the first Moscow-Beijing collaborative military venture since the early days of the Cold War.”

Well, the “miracles” in Russia following the “consecration” of 1984 just keep coming, don’t they? Now, for the first time since the early Cold War, Russia and China are engaging in joint military ventures–just like the good old days of world communism. Given that the root meaning of “conversion” is a turning toward something, there has indeed been a conversion of Russia: Russia has turned toward China.

But this is not merely an ad hoc defense agreement to meet the purported Islamic threat. According to DEBKAfiles’ “In addition to Central Asia, Moscow and Beijing are making common military cause in Mongolia, their shared objective being to uproot American influence from the republic lying between them . . . This collaboration acquired an added dimension from the Chinese-U.S. row over the U.S. surveillance plane, still held on Hainan Island over protests from Washington.”

So, what we are looking at now is the emergence of a new Sino-Soviet military alliance against the United States. But how can this be? Russia is “converting” and Vladimir Putin is a “Christian.” And, as Msgr. Bertone informed us on June 26, 2000, the Vatican’s publication of a vision contained in the Third Secret “brings to an end a period of history marked by tragic human lust for power and evil . . .”

Yes, all the Vatican had to do to bring to an end the era of tragic human lust for power and evil was hold a press conference and publish a vision of the Pope being shot and killed by an invading army. Of course, if that were true, why did the Vatican bureaucracy wait more than 40 years to do so? Think of all the tragic human lust for power and evil that could have been avoided by earlier publication.

Of course, Bertone’s remark was nonsense. But nonsense is the stock and trade of those who tell us that Fatima is finished. Meanwhile, those who have retained the use of their reason know that since Vatican officials refuse to see and acknowledge reality, our only hope is to continue and pray to Mary, and Jesus, who said to Lucy at Fatima "It is never too late to have recourse to Jesus and Mary".
