Conversion of Russia
Secret Chinese Nuclear Sub Base Revealed
By Christopher A. Ferrara
While President Bush frets and struts and intimates another pointless war over Iran’s enriched uranium program, China — where child slave labor produces American consumer goods — continues to enjoy Most Favored Nation trade status even as it builds an underground nuclear submarine base.
As reported by Telegraph.co.uk, satellite photographs clearly show “massive tunnel entrances, estimated to be 60-ft high, built into hillsides around the base. Sources fear they could lead to caverns capable of hiding up to 20 nuclear submarines from spy satellites.” The U.S. Defense Department estimates that “China will have five 094 nuclear submarines operational by 2010 with each capable of carrying 12 JL-2 nuclear missiles.”
That’s five nuclear subs with a dozen nuclear missiles — flying H-bombs that can target other countries, including ours — in only two years. But Mr. Bush prepares for war with Iran over some enriched uranium.
A Chinese nuclear submarine force, says the Telegraph, “will be a significant challenge to US Navy dominance and to countries ringing the South China Sea…” Citing the prestigious Jane’s Intelligence Review, the Telegraph further notes that the base could be used for “‘expeditionary as well as defensive operations’ and would allow the submarines to ‘break out to launch locations closer to the US.’”
Military analysts “believe that China’s substantial build up of its forces is gaining pace but has remained hidden from the world in the build-up to the Olympics. China has diverted much of its resources from the huge People’s Liberation Army to the navy, air force and missile development.”
But not to worry. Russia was “converted” in 1984 when Pope John Paul II conducted a ceremony that deliberately avoided any mention of Russia. Can we not see the resulting miraculous spiritual transformation of that country and its leadership? Who could ask for a better convert than Vladimir Putin? Clearly, the man is a saint.
And if Putin has entered into a military alliance with China, which is building a nuclear submarine base, this should not disturb our tranquility in the least. For no doubt the “converted” dictator of Russia will persuade the Chinese leadership to “convert” as well. I am sure they talk about God and the life hereafter at all their meetings.
So, there is no chance that, as Our Lady of Akita warned in an approved apparition in 1973, “Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful.” Nor is there any chance that, as we see in the vision that forms a part of the Third Secret of Fatima, a Pope will be executed by soldiers atop a hill outside a devastated city filled with corpses.
Do we not, after all, have the personal assurances of Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, the Vatican Secretary of State, that all the prophecies of Fatima “belong to the past?” Was it not he who declared so sagely that publication of the vision of the Third Secret — concerning which, he assures us, Our Lady said not one word by way of explanation — “brings to an end a period of history marked by tragic human lust for power and evil”? How could anyone hesitate to entrust the meaning of Fatima and fate of the whole world to the judgment of Cardinal Bertone?
So, fear not. The Church and the world are perfectly safe because the Pope “consecrated” Russia by not mentioning it, and there is nothing about the Fatima prophecies that need concern us any longer.
And if you believe that, then you will believe that the biggest threat facing the world today is some uranium fuel rods in Iran.
