Attack on Rome Imminent?

I intend to ignore Francis’ ridiculous foot-washing and foot–kissing ceremony in a Rome prison today by which he has cavalierly replaced the traditional Mass of the Lord’s Supper in Saint Peter’s as part of the Easter triduum – including the mandatum, the traditional ceremony in which a priest, representing Christ, washes the feet of laymen (never women!) to symbolize His founding of the sacred priesthood. Francis’s absurd invention, staged annually before cameras to the oohing and aahing of the world media, which daily exalt him over all his predecessors, obviously has nothing to do with “humility.” It has everything to do with Francis, however.
Enough about that. Today The Washington Times, in an article by Bill Gertz, reports the startling news that ISIS “likely will launch an attack on Italy within weeks, not months, according to a senior Libyan government official.” Gertz quotes Aref Ali Nayed, Libya ’s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, who warns that “The horrific video showing 21 Coptic Christians beheaded in Libya contained a direct threat from ISIS to Rome,” which I mentioned in my column earlier this week.
Evidently, this is not an empty threat but a real plan. Nayed notes that — incredibly enough — about a dozen commercial airliners have gone missing in Libya and are now apparently under the control of ISIS. These jets could be weaponized for a mere one-hour flight to Rome, where a 9-11 attack on Saint Peter’s could easily be carried out. Or, as Nayed notes, terrorists based in Libya could “infiltrate Italy by using one of the many boats carrying undocumented Libyans” — the same illegal immigrants Francis demands that Italy welcome with open arms — and from there stage a devastating attack.
Following the ouster and summary execution of Muammar Gadhafi in a coup covertly supported by the Obama administration, Libya, says Nayed (quoted by Gertz) “is in very real danger of becoming an ISIS garrison and an ATM for ISIS operations in Syria and Iraq. There is a good chance that Libya ’s oil wealth was siphoned off by Islamists and provided oxygen for the growth of ISIS ... It certainly has not been used to make our country a better place for Libyans.”
So, as Francis literally kisses the feet of Muslim criminals on Holy Thursday and insists, contrary to all evidence, that “authentic Islam and the proper reading of the Koran are opposed to every form of violence,” other Muslim criminals are plotting the destruction of Rome — just as they have threatened. That event would appear to be what we see in the vision connected to the Third Secret of Fatima, although we cannot be absolutely certain of this without the Virgin’s own explanation in the yet-to-be-disclosed related text whose existence is now beyond serious dispute.
This situation is as diabolically comical as it is deadly serious for the Church and the world. As we prepare to commemorate the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Our Lord, may Catholics everywhere wake up to their obligation to pray for all priests, bishops, Cardinals and the Pope that they may guide the Church back to the path of sound orthodoxy and sound practice during this unprecedented time of confusion. Pray as well that Our Lady of Fatima intercede to spare Rome from the destruction its own folly begs for.
